Sinochem Build Petrochemical Public Wharf along with Zhuhai Geli

As the major component of Sinochem Oil's strategy and one of Zhuhai City's key projects, Sinochem Geli Harbour Company Ltd.'s 80,000 ton class petrochemical public wharf project started its construction on Oct.28th. Zhuhai's Mayor Wang Shunsheng, Sinochem's Vice President Li Hui, Geli Group's Chairman Ye Zhixiong and representatives from BP, Shell, ExxonMobil, Petrochina, and CNOOC etc attended the ceremony.

Sinochem Geli petrochemical wharf project, with the investment of 220 million RMB, is a jetty and two-sided wharf. It has two 80,000-ton class berths and four 5,000-ton class berths. Two 80,000-ton class ships and six-1,000 ton class ships can anchor off the wharf simultaneously. The Maximum unloading capacity could reach 2,200 tons per hour. The designed annual handle-up capacity of the port is 15.6 million tons. The project is projected to be accomplished in May. 2007. Coupled with Sinochem Geli Oil Storage Tank Zone, the wharf will become the largest international petrochemical inventory and transmission centre in Zhujiang Delta.
