On Jan.13th, 2007, Sinochem Environmental Protection Chemicals (Taicang) Co., Ltd. successfully had its first trial run of its 20,000 ton class HFC-134a Facility. The facility, using Sinochem’s own proprietary technology, was 40 days ahead of schedule to produce qualified product.
Sinochem started its construction of its 20,000 ton class HFC-134a facility on Feb.26th, 2006 in Taicang, Jiangsu Province as the major step towards the ambition of building the world’s leading fluoro-chemical powerhouse. Sinochem already has its two facilities with the capacity of 5,000 ton HFC-134a per year each in Xi’an. When this 20,000 ton class HFC-134a production facility is formally commissioned, Sinochem will become the world’s third largest source of HFC-134a with the total capacity of 30,000 tons per year. It is momentous for China’s pledge of performing its obligation eliminating the CFCs in China.
